01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located within the vibrant setting of Vancouver’s Pacific National Exhibition, Triple O’s PNE offers a delightful fast food experience that rises above expectations for a quick-service eatery. Known for its classic North American fast food fare, this spot specializes in hearty, satisfying comfort food that fuels your day at the park in the most delicious way.

The menu showcases a tempting array of flavors, with crowd favorites like the Bacon Cheddar Beef Burger ($13.50) stealing the spotlight. Imagine biting into a juicy beef patty layered with smoky bacon and sharp cheddar cheese, all nestled in a soft bun—each mouthful bursting with rich, familiar flavors that evoke both nostalgia and indulgence. For breakfast lovers, Triple O’s PNE serves up an enticing selection including the Egg BLT Ciabatta, Sausage Ciabatta, and the uniquely satisfying Canadian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich. Whether it’s the classic Breakfast Club or the Original Sunny Start, these dishes offer a comforting start to any morning, balanced with fresh and savory ingredients.

Beyond burgers and breakfast sandwiches, the menu expands to include tempting sides like golden, crispy French Fries ($2.50), vibrant Kale Caesar Salad, and indulgent options such as Sweet Potato Fries, Onion Rings, and the iconic Canadian favorite, Poutine. Seafood fans can enjoy perfectly battered and crispy fish options including Crispy Fish and classic Fish & Chips, delivering a satisfying crunch and flaky tenderness with every bite.

Dining at Triple O’s PNE is more than just a quick meal—it’s a flavorful pit stop amidst the excitement of the park. The atmosphere mirrors the lively energy of the PNE itself: casual, friendly, and efficient, providing a welcoming place to recharge. Staff reviews highlight the exemplary service, with one customer passionately praising Jessica, an employee whose attentiveness and warmth elevate the dining experience to one that feels genuinely cared for.

True, some patrons note the absence of drink refills and occasional pricing considerations, but the overall sentiment confirms that Triple O’s delivers quality and taste akin to full-service restaurants, especially given its prime location within an amusement park setting. Whether grabbing a quick bite between rides or sitting down for a comforting meal, Triple O’s PNE offers a menu that satisfies with hearty flavors, familiar favorites, and a touch of indulgence that keeps visitors coming back for more.

For those seeking a reliable fast food spot with classic Canadian flavors served in a lively park environment, Triple O’s PNE stands out as a delicious, no-fuss choice that captures the essence of casual dining done right.

*Review based on Fast Food/Amusement Park scale. Seeing the low ratings prior to eating here, friends and I set the bar low, but this was the best place inside the park to get a “proper” meal. In the end, we were happy with our meals! Sure, items are a bit pricey, but they’re basically the same (maybe a little less?) than the restaurant, and the quality was comparable, so we had no qualms. •Staff 5/5: not only were staff exceptionally kind, they were extremely efficient. •Double Double 4.75/5: tastes nearly the same as what you get in the restaurant. We should’ve asked for extra Triple O Sauce. Our burger was hot and had all toppings. •Chicken Strips 5/5: we tasted no difference between here and the restaurant. The best part, they have the infamous Honey Mustard, woo! •Fries 5/5: cooking oil was clearly fresh (i.e. no bitter aftertaste). Fries were hot, fresh, thoroughly enjoyable, which was especially impressive given how busy it was. P.S. to save money, you don’t have to add on fries or a drink, you can get burgers and chicken strips on their own.

During the weeks of August - early September, the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) comes alive with exhibits. I'd visited it every other year (or so), but the bands that play during the PNE season can be a crowd-drawer. I've watched a multitude of bands play on the open-air platform, like Olivia Newton-John, Heart, and REO Speedwagon, to name a few. I'd sure like to see Styx or Journey play in the PNE open-air one day. It's worth your while to visit the PNE when you're in town; it's great, and it's fun.
